Useful history. Local processing.

HistoryOut builds your recap and exports on your device. The extension does not send browsing history to the developer, a server, an analytics service or an AI provider.

What the extension reads

After you request a preview or export, it reads available URL and visit records from your current browser profile. They are held in memory while the workspace is open. It does not capture page content, screenshots, cookies, passwords or browsing time.

What is saved

Export preferences and named filter views are saved with the browser’s local extension storage. A saved search term or domain can be sensitive, so name and manage views accordingly. No history archive is saved by the extension. Export files are created only at your request and stay wherever your browser saves downloads.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

HistoryOut uses browsing-history data only to provide its history search, recap and export features. This use complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The extension processes browsing-history records on your device and does not upload them to the developer or third parties, sell them, use them for advertising, or provide the developer with access to read them. You control any export files you choose to create and share.

Why the permissions exist

Connections and external links

The extension loads its interface, fonts and icons locally. It does not load analytics or remote assets. On installation, HistoryOut opens a getting-started page on this website. After an extension update, it opens the changelog once for that version. Those visits contain no browsing history, search terms or export settings. If you choose a support, store, donation or history link, your browser visits that destination and its privacy practices apply. The Tell a friend action writes only the public extension listing link to your clipboard when you click it; it never reads your clipboard.

This website

This site does not request or receive your browser history. This website does not embed analytics scripts. Its hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information to serve and secure the site. Downloadable samples use fictional data.
